“my words sounded of maraschino cherries”

Out of my many artistic endeavors of 2023, my most beloved has to be writing and compiling original poems to create a literary work snapshotting my college years and early 20s. Fashioning this book has helped me as not only a poet, but as a woman and a human in maturing, loving, and reflecting.

In my first-ever published collection, “my words sounded of maraschino cherries,” I explore the evocative imagery of memory and the human experience of heartache, all meshing with the grit of womanhood.
